ANOTHER PUNK SHOW ADDED AT THE FAIRMOUNT LIBRARY.... IS THE LIBRARY... SAVING THE DFW PUNK SCENE???

Coming in hot after last night's Cankro show, singer of Estado Fascista, Ramon Garcia, announces yet ANOTHER punk show will be happening at the Fairmount Community Library in Fort Worth.

Apparently, rumor was that the Dreamy Life crew wasn't cool with having punk shows after they denied another punk show that Ramon set up featuring Dagger from Indiana. The show ended up being at Casa De Locos, which is a great house venue located in Oak Cliff, but clearly there is a lot of appeal to playing at a library in Fort Worth. Not to mention, the amount of people that go to the Faimount Library seems to make shows there a safe bet for getting enough money for the touring band.

Now the question seems to be not if they will host punk shows, but how often. The only stipulation seems to be have the show be over by 1030pm, and don’t trash the space, obviously. Maybe ask by the right person, too.

Could the library singlehandedly save the DFW punk scene? That’s something that Dreamy Life is going to have to continue to ask itself.
